Biographie de l'auteur :
Beth Greenfield. Beth grew up longing to be a New Yorker, making as many trips as possible as a teenager from her hometown across the Hudson in Eatontown, NJ. She moved into her first big-city pad, in Chelsea, after college, and attended the graduate journalism program at New York University before real life began : writing and editing for local newspapers and magazines (including Time Out New York, where she is currently still an editor), teaching travel writing classes at NYU, writing the New York & the Mid-Atlantic States chapter for Lonely Planet's latest USA book, and moving every few years in search of the perfect apartment. After stints in the East Village and Brooklyn, she's settled on the Upper West Side - near Central Park, Hudson River Park, some amazing Jewish delis, and the express train, which whisks her to any one of her favorite spots. Robert Reid. In 1992, fueled by a surprise ticket for a Keith Richards show, Robert moved from Oklahoma to New York, where he settled in the East Village. He filled his " evening space ", after a day job at House Beautiful magazine, co-producing a Manhattan public-access show (about his actual rock band, a fictional lacrosse league from Saskatchewan, and theories about Roosevelt Island). In 1997 Robert moved to San Francisco to work for Lonely Planet as commissioning editor and publishing manager of shoestring guides. In 2003, alter a year in London, he returned to New York (no parade), where he writes full time from his home in Brooklyn.
