Synopsis

The primary focus of this volume is the techniques for the development of therapeutic cancer vaccines. It helps clarify the current need for vaccines in cancer treatment, exploring deeper information such as the roles of tumor antigens, proteins/peptides, microbial genes, and stem cells for the development of vaccines for cancer management. The volume also provides latest insights on DNA- and RNA-based cancer vaccines, eventually covering the regulatory perspectives for the cancer vaccine developments.

Volume 2: Delivery Strategies for Cancer Vaccine and Immunotherapy in Management of Various Carcinomas presents an understanding of delivery strategies of cancer vaccines for the management of various forms of carcinoma. It discusses the management of various carcinomas using vaccines, examining the prospects of delivering immuno-oncology therapies, focusing specifically on the affective drug delivery strategies for treatment of lung, prostate, and pancreatic carcinomas. The volume provides an overview of the current vaccine systems, adjuvants, and delivery methods that are being explored or have been approved. It also focuses on therapeutic cancer vaccines that could be used to prevent the spread of advanced malignancies that are resistant to standard treatments, including surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy.

Rishabha Malviya, PhD, has 11 years of research experience and is presently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy, School of Medical and Allied Sciences, Galgotias University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. His areas of interest include formulation optimization, nanoformulation, targeted drug delivery, localized drug delivery, and characterization of natural polymers as pharmaceutical excipients. He has authored more than 150 research and review papers for national and international journals of repute. He holds over 50 patents and has published many papers in reputed national and international journals, for which he received an outstanding reviewer award from Elsevier. He has edited 13 books (Wiley, Springer Nature, CRC Press/Taylor and Francis, Apple Academic Press, River Publisher, Lambert, and OMICS Publishing Group) and authored 15 book chapters. His name has been included in the World’s Top 2% Scientists list by Elsevier BV and Stanford University. He is reviewer, editor, and editorial board member of more than 50 national and international journals. He was an invited author for the magazine Atlas of Science as well as a pharma magazine dealing with B2B industry, Ingredient South Asia. He completed his BPharm at Uttar Pradesh Technical University and MPharm (Pharmaceutics) at Gautam Buddha Technical University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. His PhD (Pharmacy) work was in novel formulation development techniques.

Bhupendra Prajapati, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics, Shree S. K. Patel College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Ganpat University, Gujarat, India. He has more than 20 years of academic and research experience and has published more than 100 research and review papers in international and national journals. He has edited three books and has authored 20 book chapters in the field of novel drug delivery. He has published two Indian patents and has three applications under evaluation. He is a reviewer for three high impact journals and is on the editorial boards of several scientific journals.

Sonali Sundram, PhD, is Assistant Professor in the School of Medical & Allied Sciences at Galgotias University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. Previously, she worked as a research scientist on a project of ICMR at King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, India. After that, she joined BBDNIIT (Babu Banarasi Das Northern India Institute of Technology), Lucknow. Her PhD (Pharmacy) work was in neurodegeneration and nanoformulation. Her areas of interest include neurodegeneration, clinical research, and artificial intelligence. She has edited four books (Wiley, CRC Press/Taylor and Francis, River Publisher) and has organized more than 15 national and international seminars, conferences, and workshops. She has more than eight patents, both national and international, to her credit. She completed both BPharm and MPharm (Pharmacology) from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, India.
