Marie-Louise Jensen was born in Oxfordshire and has an English father and Danish mother. In 2005 she gained an MA in Writing for Young People at Bath Spa University. Since 2008 Marie-Louise has had six teen books published by Oxford University Press. Her first two books, Between Two Seas and The Lady in the Tower were shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize. Between Two Seas was also shortlisted for the Branford Boase Award and the Glen Dimplex New Writers' Award. Marie-Louise lives in Bath with her two sons and enjoys walking, swimming and travelling
