Jennifer Summerlin is an assistant professor of curriculum instruction at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she teaches courses in children's literature, language arts in the elementary classroom, and developmental reading. She holds a Ph.D. in education with emphasis in childhood education and teaching, as well as an M.Ed. with emphasis in elementary education and teaching from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
