About the Author :

PETER MCNEIL is Professor of Design History at the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia, and Professor of Fashion Studies at the Centre for Fashion Studies at Stockholm University in Sweden.

VICKI KARAMINAS is Senior Lecturer in Fashion Theory and Design Studies at the School of Design at the University of Technology in Sydney. She holds the Area Chair for "Subcultural Style and Identity" for the Popular Culture Association of America.
