Jimbo Reverente found his inner mechanic late in life, after his spouse found her inner ultra-marathoner. Having spent much time at home with the kids, poring over practically every available online and printed document on the BMW E21, Jimbo eventually undertook an interior and exterior restoration of one. Over five years he meticulously dismantled multiple donor cars as he combined the best of old and new parts into his E21. Jimbo contributes DIY-articles and advice to the bimmerforums.com E21 community, and is one of the co-founders of E21Legion.net, a website that allows users to publish their own E21-themed pages. Jimbo credits the E21 community for providing a healthy hands-on diversion from his MBA financial analysis-type work. In contrast to Jimbo, Josh Cook has a lifelong passion for classic BMWs that began with his father's 73 2002, leading to the purchase of his first car at age 17 an 81 320i that he still drives daily. A self-taught mechanic, he has spent 12 years working on E21s, during which he has completed an empty shell restoration of his own car. This experience has made him intimately familiar with nearly every aspect of owning, restoring and modifying a 1st generation 3-series.
