Despite being given six months to live in 2000, she spent the next seven years completing charity events and raising an amazing £1.85million. ‘We’d agreed Jane wasn’t going to leave letters or memory boxes for the family – we’d already made so many happy memories,’ says Mike, 47. ‘I wasn’t expecting a letter and it wasn’t the most obvious place to leave it.
