This account of the Ripper murders of 1888, uncovers much new data, including what is appparently a sighting of the murderer and a murderous assault bearing all his hallmarks. This list of suspects is reassessed, with new material and full details on litle-known candidates. The three suspects named in 1894 are exonerated, and there is a complete rebuttal of the so-called "Maybrick Diary". Philip Sugden's studies challenge the whole drift of Ripper studies since 1959, and raise the possibility of an American connection in the case. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition.
