Traer Scott, author of the bestselling book Shelter Dogs (Merrell Publishers 2006), and Street Dogs (October 2007) is a New England based fine art photographer specializing in narrative and editorial portraiture as well as animal photography. Her work has been featured in Life, Vogue, People, the Boston Globe and many other national and international publications. A long-time animal welfare activist, Traer Scott lives in Providence with her husband and two rescue dogs.
