Written a number of children's books in the Candle range, including the Candle Bible for Toddlers. Chris Embleton-Hall is an English based artist specializing in children's illustration. Chris was born in Epsom, Surrey at the end of a great heat-wave in 1976. Chris spent most of his youth growing up in Guildford, Surrey with his Mum, Dad, Granddad, cat, rabbit and six Fish. He moved to Leicestershire in 2002 where he now lives with his wife and two year old, Archie. Chris spent hours of his spare time as a child drawing with his granddad, before studying for a degree in illustration. Chris's illustrations are a mixture of digital styles, most recently incorporating pattern and texture. He starts by drawing all his artwork with pencil on paper which he then scans and renders digitally. Chris draws inspiration from looking at lots of different children's books. When Chris is not illustrating, he likes to go to the cinema as well as being a member of the local walking group.
