Synopsis
This masterpiece of wit and perception by Jane Austen, is set in the early 19th century, when young ladies were groomed for matrimony - and not much else. Mrs. Bennet is eager to marry off her three daughters, Jane, Elizabeth, our heroine, and Lydia. Suitors lined up at the ball include Mr. Collins, Mr. Bingley, Mr. Wickham and the proud Mr. Darcy. But the varying temperaments and spirits of our heroine Elizabeth and her sisters, not to mention their precarious social standing, means the quest for love and happiness is not without setback.
