Philip Vann is the author of Face to Face: British Self-Portraits in the Twentieth Century, a monograph on the artist Dora Holzhandler, and recent books on the painters William Crozier and Joash Woodrow. Sister Wendy Becket is a well-known art historian, author and TV presenter.
