Description du livre Hardcover. Etat : Good. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good. Cover painting by Terence Lambert, tipped-in color frontispiece by Fedden. (illustrateur). Later Edition. Green cloth covers with gold lettering on spine in illustrated dust jacket. Page edges and end pages are slightly soiled with what appears to be slight water staining/curling to the tops of the pages. Otherwise a very nice copy in an attractive dust jacket. Originally published in 1919, it was considered a salve for the horrors the author and others witnessed during World War I. This edition includes Bruce Lockhart's introduction to the 1949 edition, an "appreciation" written by Nick Lyons, biographical notes written by Claude Belloir and a foreword for this edition by Geoffrey Bucknall.
