Sean Black is the pen name of David Young and author of the million-selling Ryan Lock series of thrillers. In 2018 he won the prestigious International Thriller Writers' Award in New York for his novel, Second Chance.

In Paris in 2023, David Young became the only amputee to become a European champion in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu while competing against able-bodied athletes. He suffered a lot of injuries and lost a lot of matches to get to the top of the podium.
