About the Author :

Roger W. Pryor is a COMSOL Certified Consultant and holds 23 US Patents. In his current position as the president and CEO of Pryor Knowledge Systems, Inc., he advises clients on the solution of both research and production level problems.

Review :

A consultant physicist who advises clients on both research and production problems, Pryor introduces model building and problem solving with the commercial software package. Scientists, engineers, and others can use the system to explore the behavior of physical device structures on a computer before going to the workshop or laboratory to build a real one. The models he describes are within the context of the laws of the physical world, and explored in light of First Principle Analysis techniques. Among his topics are materials properties, zero-dimensional electrical circuit interface modeling, two-dimensional axi-symmetrical modeling, two-dimensional complex mixed-mode modeling, and perfectly matched layer models.
