Description du livre Hardcover. Etat : New. Vincent Bisson (illustrateur). Unknown to many Westerners, Libya is not as much a tourist attraction as its neighbors Egypt and Tunisia. But should anyone complain about it? This country contains some extraordinary sites (including some listed as world heritage sites), such as the ancient cities of Sabratah and Leptis Magna in Tripolitania, Cyrene, Apollonia and Ptolemaà  s in Cyrenaica, and the country s leaders are aware that Libya contains a wealth of historical monuments. But the country s heritage should not be reduced to its Greco-Roman vestiges; there are also mosques from the earliest days of Islam, which are probably the only such mosques in all of North Africa, refined urban constructions built by the Ottomans, architectural remnants of western presence, both Christian and Italian, which, while limited in time, and even ephemeral, are mostly quite splendid. Finally, trekking in the Libyan Sahara, with bivouacs and nights under the stars that give visitors intense experiences, allow tourists to discover the often grandiose desert landscapes as well as prodigious examples of parietal paintings that are unique in the world. Very nice clean, tight copy free of any marks. Sipcased. N° de réf. du vendeur 20110216131201
Description du livre Couverture rigide. Etat : Neuf. Etat de la jaquette : Neuf. Vincent Bisson (illustrateur).
