In 1942, the original story of the extraordinary adventure of the SECRET OF THE UNICORN appeared in daily strips in Le Soir, controlled by the Propaganda wing of the German Abteilung. The boards were then cut in 1943 to reduce the number of pages and allow a Casterman version, due to a shortage of paper. In 2004, in tribute to the 75 year anniversary of Tintin, these strips have been republished in Le Soir from the prints found at Studios Herge. They have been gathered together and published for the first time in book form here, just as Hergé created them: Un-edited, enriched with lots of comments and archived documents, they show the master of the clear line at the top of his game.
