Synopsis
With capital markets becoming globalized, demand for information increasing, and international accounting principles exerting a growing influence, there is immense pressure on traditional methods of corporate accounting to change and expand their scope. The increased urgency to publish information, the need to integrate internal reporting and externally published financial statements, considerable pressure to further reduce the time taken to publish financial statements, as well as further increasing demands for greater internal efficiency mean that a holistic approach is the only viable solution. E-reporting offers a comprehensive solution, integrating internal reporting and published financial statements and using state-of-the art internet technology. This book is a hands-on guide to successfully transforming corporate reporting and company financial statements into an efficient e-reporting system on the basis of the CS and EIS modules of SAP EC. It tells you how to put CS and EIS to your own creative use, shows project planning methods and provides detailed assistance in designing and implementing current business tools such as value-oriented metrics. It also deals with aspects of global roll-out and operational issues. The authors of this book have gained their extensive experience in projects such as the successful practical implementation of e-reporting as part of the world's biggest SAP EC installation.
