Effects of Joint Incongruity on Articular Pressure Distribution and Subchondral Bone Remodeling Although there have been qualitative reports on the physiological incongruity of human joints, its effects on load transmission and subchondral bone density have remained incompletely characterized. This work reviews existing literature and to quantitatively assess the effect of incongruity on load transmission and subchondral mineralisation.
