The whole idea of food packaging originated to protect the foods from environmental elements and contain them. However, with the change in consumer demands and technological innovations, food packaging has evidenced a great deal of extensions to its original functions and new packaging materials are constantly being added to the existing list. Biographie de l'auteur :
S.K.Pankaj, S.U. Kadam and N.N.Misra are food technologist's who obtained their master's degree from Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), India. Mr Shashi K Pankaj is currently involved in research and developmental work at Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd. Mr Pankaj was actively involved in food packaging research at CFTRI during masters.
