This piece of work depicts a short ethnographic study on Nepali Muslims, the third largest religious group after Hindus and Buddhists, which, yet holds the minority position. The book helps to understand the process of continuity and change among Muslims of Nepal in general and Kathmandu Muslims in particular. Based upon the findings of the field research, the book shows Kathmandu Muslims' coping strategies in the urban setting of Nepal, where majority of the population is Non-Muslims. This book can be a best guide to Academics, Researchers and others to know about Nepali Muslims, their historical background and their socio-cultural and economic practices.
Biographie de l'auteur :
Originally from Jhapa, holds an M. A. in Anthropology from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He has worked as a Researcher and Co-researcher in some Research works. Similarly, he has served as Editor and Coordinator of publication board for some publications. Currently, he is working as Regional Program Officer in Collective Campaign for Peace.
