With his large format camera, Boston-based photographer Brian Kaplan focuses on this other side of life on the Cape. His portraits of seasonal workers, deserted landscapes, and narrative still lifes give us a unique insight into this fascinating place and its multiple, contrasting worlds.

Kaplan developed his passion for photography while working for Stan Grossfeld at The Boston Globe. He served as the President of the Board of Directors of the Griffin Museum of Photography.

Brian Kaplan is a Boston-based photographer. He developed a passion for photography while working for three years as the research and darkroom assistant to Stan Grossfeld, a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist at The Boston Globe. Brian served as the President of the Board of Directors of the Griffin Museum of Photography from 2015 to 2017.
