Tomohide Kawasaki is one of the most active worldwide shogi promoters. Born in Japan in 1978. He received a master degree of engineering from the University of Tokyo. While working as engineer for a major Japanese automaker, he continues to make various contributions to the world promotion of shogi. Noted works by him are his YouTube shogi lesson channel, foundation of the international online shogi website "81Dojo", and English translations of famous Japanese shogi books. He currently lives in Germany, teaching and promoting shogi in local clubs. Director of 81Dojo. Adviser to NEKOMADO Co., Ltd.
