Arvind Kumar Singh did his M.A., M. Phil and PhD. in Buddhist Studies from Delhi University. Presently he is teaching M.A. and M. Phil students at the department of buddhist studies, University of Delhi from where he has obtained all his higher degrees. Along with the teaching assignment, he is also involved in other departmental activities like assisting the editors of the departmental journal named Buddhist Studies and due to his hard work and committment towards this, the department has been able to publish three departmental journals and two more journals are about to be published in a short span of time. He has written a book named A Textbook of the history of Theravada buddhism (2007). He has also compiled a book named Researchers in Buddhist Studies: A Descriptive Bibliography. He has presented many research articles at the national and international conferences and few of them have been published in different journals of repute.
