The white cover is slightly soiled, the front cover has restored damage approx. 2x2cm at the top, the back cover has a tear of the cover paper due to the price sticker that was removed and a restored tear of the connecting element (see photo). Corners slightly bumped and bent. Text in English and Spanish. Previous owner's name on the front flyleaf. 345 (+7) pages, full-page color illustration throughout. Binding tight, clean inside. Ein gutes und sauberes Exemplar. - In October 2001 the Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto visited Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea in order to present in this space an ambitious project that enraptured the public. At the time his international projection had been proven by his participation in the Venice Biennale and his Interventions in some of the most important locations around the world. It was therefore the time for Galicia to receive a representative part of this creator's work and allow CGAC to keep on shining around the world as a space with an international orientation. Heir of the Brazilian Neoconcretism, which appeared in the 60's and 70's thanks to work of creators like Helio Oiticica and Lygia Clark, Ernesto works with materials and shapes that allow visitors to assume an active role in the exhibition. This publication describes the intervention project that, under the title A paisagem do corpo e o corpo da paisagem, Ernesto Neto expressly conceived for his first individual exhibition at a Spanish institution. The growing interest that Ernesto Neto's work triggered in the international art context since the early years of his career, alongside his constant presence in important events, foretell the warmest reception for this new publication. A challenge that was achieved thanks to the complicity of the artist and those responsible for Telefónica, a company that has also pledged to support initiatives like this.
