Beautiful professional hand made binding. U shaped Leather spine extending 1" over front and rear of text block then polished leather boards laid over spine leather 8 holes evenly spaced and leather rawhide strung interconnecting the holes resembling a thong pattern on the exterior and x crosses over the spine. Owner name Benjamin J Boyd and dated August 1, 1903 on front end page which is edge chipped/brittle otherwise in very good condition. Drawings by Ernest Haskell and C. Allan Gilbert. One can not open book wide open, Maude Ewing Kiskadden (November 11, 1872 - July 17, 1953), known professionally as Maude Adams, was an American stage actress who achieved her greatest success as Peter Pan. Adams's personality appealed to a large audience and helped her become the most successful and highest-paid performer of her day, with a yearly income of more than one million dollars during her peak. Charles Frohman (July 15, 1856 - May 7, 1915) was an American theatrical producer. Frohman was producing plays by 1889 and acquired his first Broadway theatre by 1892. He discovered and promoted many stars of the American theatre. Frohman was known for his ability to develop talent. His stars included William Gillette, John Drew, Jr., Ethel Barrymore, Billie Burke, E. H. Sothern, Julia Marlowe, Maude Adams, Paul Gilmore, Evelyn Millard and Henry Miller.
