This was the penultimate issue of this notable annual assessment of aircraft serving with, and recently introduced to the air forces of the Allies and Axis. They were highlky sought after then, as they still are, by those following the development of aircraft for both combat and transport purposes. Each edition included a number of new aircraft and this 1944 issue was no differenr with aircraft from Britain, USA, Russia, Germany and Japan covered --- 70 different types. Each entry includes a technical data/description, illustration and three-view plan, including many fold-outs (up to three leafs for the largest.) The 70 page pagination does not include the plans, title page, contents, colour frontis, foreward, preface, designation systems, three pages military markings or colour chips for RAF aircraft. There are also many pages of aircraft related adverts at front, with more at the back, also unpaginated. Blue hard covers with gilt front/spine titles VG with few marks, lightly bumped corners and slight creasing lower front corner, two names on FFEP (one ink, the other larger in felt pen), text block is other wise excellent, all plans intact, with some folded example creased at the vertical edge. A classic of its kind and in excellent all-round order for its age and use. N° de réf. du vendeur 002929
