Helen Bullard has produced a second collection of 30 monographs on nationally known and recognized artists who make dolls, members of the National Institute of American Doll Artists, a group dedicated to the creation of original artists' dolls which express the American culture. The author, herself a member of the NIADA, collected from each artist information about his or her life and work. The monographs include detailed descriptions of how the dolls are modelled, made, and dressed, and include, collectively, nearly 200 photographs. Hardcover, 6.3 x 9.3 inches, 216 pages, catalog of artists' dolls (current through 1975), bibliography, index.
