A propos de cet article

Transactions, being an account of the formation, consecration and first year's work of the Fairfax Lodge, No. 3255, Guiseley, Yorks. History of the lodge, along with history & peerage of the Fairfax family. B/w illustrations and photos. This copy SIGNED & INSCRIBED by Albert Lord Fairfax to Col. Arthur Herbert, who notably served in the Old Dominion Rifles of Viginia during the Civil War. Laid in is a newspaper clipping from 03/20/1909 telling of the loss of Lord Fairfax's historic colonial home on their 900 acre plantation, Northampton in Prince Georges County, MD. Interesting association. Good+/No Jacket. Covers have four slits for 2 silk ribbon clasps, but ribbons are gone. Otherwise nice in cream leatherette with gilt royal coat of arms.
