Langdon Etraders was established by The U.K. registered charity The Langdon Foundation, No.:1142742,a charity providing supported independent living for adults. Our book-selling project provides work experience for a number of Langdon residents and additionally for others in the wider community who are registered disabled. It is the hope of the Project that through the work experience many of the participants will be able to seek commercial employment as they gain skills and confidence. Our participants include many with Asperger's Syndrome, varying levels of Autism, Downs Syndrome, and in some instances a range of additional physical disabilities. Langdon Etraders aims to provide a fully professional service to all customers.

Langdon eTraders uses UK postal service Royal Mail for all U.K. orders under 2 kilgrammes in weight. Heavier items are sent using worldwide or local courier services. Tracking is not used for Royal Mail items, but is provided for all courier delivered items. Overseas orders are sent by Royal Mail Air Mail for smaller items,and heavier items are sent by International courier services.

Books are packed using card for paperbacks and bubble wrap for hardbacks. Card may also be used for the heaviest hardbacked books. Plastic envelopes are used for most items. Large sets such as Encyclopaedias are sent in strong cardboard boxes using courier services.
