She was extremely interesting about Franz Boas, and she did suggest that I might be the person to write about Moral Rearmament (and Buchman's birthday celebration . I liked very much the review of John Rogge's book which you were kind enough to send me ." (there follows a short discussion of the book's poetic technique). With holograph addressed mailing envelope of the Fitzwilliam Inn (postmarked New York, July 28, 1959), plus b/w reproduction of portrait photograph and newspaper clipping (Los Angeles Times, February 18, 1980, with Rukeyser's obituary) present. Slight creases and browning (chiefly to edges); else a well-preserved ephemeral piece. Rukeyser (1913-80), American poet, noted for her various poems and acts of social conscience (chiefly during the 1930's in America and in various European countries).
