Fifteen short stories, their subject indicated in the book's title. "Two Idle Apprentices" was the joint pseudonym taken by Charles Dickens and Wilkie Collins for a series of stories that appeared in HOUSEHOLD WORDS in 1857. Not in Wolff. Early owner's penciled signature on front free endpaper and half title page. Cloth worn at spine ends and corner tips, some rubbing along outer joints and fore-edges, slight spine lean, inner rear hinge cracked, still a sound, good copy. (#117319).
