Description :

CONDITION: Fine in Very Good Plus jacket; no names or other marks, tight and straight, clean; in jacket with foxing visible on the inside only, 3/8" tear, tiny rub on top edge; unclipped 12.95. Juvenile Picture Book The 50th anniversary album of this very loving and civilized elephant. The generous size works well for Laurent's works, but the Big Babars are condensed still further by being printed two pages to a page (purchase the 1986 Random folios for a child) . The introduction by Maurice Sendak, written after some days spent with Laurent de Brunhoff, and a photo essay by Laurent himself, makes this edition worth adding to a Babar collection. I suppose because the thought was to have three works of each, father and son, Babar and his Children, Father Christmas, and Zephir are omitted. Contains Story of Babar, Travels, Babar the King, Birthday Surprise, Mystery, Wully-wully. ABE Heritage Seller since 1996; conservative AB condition grading. We ship all our books in cardboard protection. International shipping. . N° de réf. du libraire 21213
