Synopsis : This book presents the thesis that radical extensions of human life span are only a few decades away. The problem is many baby boomers may not live long enough to avail themselves of these breakthrough technologies - but they will be close! This book offers a way to live a healthier life now, so that anyone can maximize his or her chances of being alive when this new wave of life extension and rejuvenation really begins to take hold.
Note de l'auteur: I have always been fascinated with the world of the future. The startling changes occurring to our world every day now are merely the tip of the iceberg of change for the years ahead. I would love to see what lies ahead. Many researchers are predicting dramatic extensions of human life span by later in this century. Being among the oldest of the baby boomers, my personal chances, as well as those of most of my friends, for still being alive when this quantum leap occurs are, unfortunately, probably pretty slim. I wrote this book to provide as much as advice as possible on what people can do now to improve their personal health. The idea is that anyone can enjoy vigorous health no matter what their age, and, simultaneously, improve their chances of still being around "on the day the funeral operators all go on welfare." Failing this goal, I present information for what steps we can take to preserve ourselves cryonically, i.e., freezing our bodies after "death" with a view towards future "reanimation."
