Description du livre Etat : Good. 1924. No edition remarks. 489 pages. No dust jacket. Green cloth covered boards with gilt. Colour and black and white illustrations throughout. Rough cut edges to textblock. Pages remain bright and clean with minimal tanning and foxing. Some cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding loose. Boards have moderate shelf wear with mild bumping and fraying to corners and crushing and fraying to spine ends. All surfaces tanned, particularly spine. Gilt lettering remains bright and clear. Contents good and tight, a little foxing to endpapers, dated Dec. 1924 to the front free end paper in ink, numerous vibrant and clean colour plates and in-text b/w illustrations. A very good copy. Top edge gilt. Spine slightly loosened but all pages completely intact. Rough cut. Previous owner inscription inside front cover, dated 1926. 19 coloured plates by W H Riddell, 170 sketches, plus 2 folding maps. Pagination: pp xxii, 489, (iii) adverts.
