Indexed. The oral histories of the Bow River people do record the identities of the alleged perpetrators but the Neminuwarlin Dance Company chose to suppress the names in the performance. Historian Dr Neville Green has come under fire for his accounts of other Aboriginal massacre stories in Western Australia. So you would not discount that there was a Bedford Downs massacre, even though there is no hard evidence from the time? DR NEVILLE GREEN: Aboriginal people do not record their history in the same way as conventional historians do but that doesn't change the fact that there is a core to this story that is consistent.
