Description du livre Hardcover. Etat : Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Bubu of Montparnasse, In a New Redaction was written by Charles-Louis Philippe and has a Preface by T. S. Eliot. The book was published by Avalon Press, Inc. in 1945 and appears to be a First American Edition though it's not specifically stated as such. It's not an ex-library copy and is in good condition with yellowing pages and a spine that has been taped. That taping appears to have been a good thing since this was a wartime publication and the quality of the boards and paper was a bit suspect. The book is 5 1/4" by 8 1/8" with 158 pages. The novel is set in a 1910 Paris. Thank you!. N° de réf. du vendeur 007080

Cover printed in blue, with distinctive Crosby Continental Editions emblem on the front cover. Rear cover detached. Front cover held on by a tape repair at the front gutter. 218 pages. Slight discoloration (perhaps from water) to the bottom half inch of the final few dozen pages, never escaping the margin. Text block clean and tight. This is an early Imprint in the series. The Crosby Continental Editions was a project undertaken by Caresse and Henry Crosby, who were the founders of the Black Sun Press (which they were running at the same time as the CCE imprint). The CCE editions did not sell well and she closed the business in 1933. This copy is housed in a folding chemise, to keep it together. N° de réf. du vendeur Fred6-2802
