The fly leaf has the following prize inscription: 1/24/65 "To M Bedford Prize Second E-a Group CFNC Tourney California. This appears to the the prize given in the tiebreak match referred to in the chessdryad.com history article in the following quote "In January 1965, Arthur Wang won on tiebreak over Michale Bedord for the Northern California Championship of the Chess Friends of Northern California.
