A propos de cet article

Some soiling of the binding, otherwise this is a VG hardcover first edition, first printing copy in a fine mylar protected DJ, black spine. This is from my wife's pristine collection. She was a friend of the Tyler family, she got Anne to inscribe it to her on the title page. One lovely afternoon at Phyllis Tyler's house, drinking white wine and talking books. A propos de ce titre

Synopsis :

Jeremy is a child-like, painfully shy batchelor who has never left home. He lives on the third floor of his mother's boarding house and spends his days cutting up coloured paper to make mosaic sculptures - until the day his mother dies and the beautiful Mary Tell arrives to turn his world upside down. From the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Amateur Marriage and Digging to America.

Synopsis:

Jeremy Pauling is a bachelor with a passion for making sculptures out of odds and ends. He is also fearful of beautiful women, so when his new lodger, Mary, arrives, he is faced with a challenge he really cannot handle. From the author of THE ACCIDENTAL TOURIST and BREATHING LESSONS.

Description de la librairie

The Reader's Corner is such fun,it's too bad you have to buy our books on line. We have eight foot tall outside bookshelves across the entire front of the store. There is a money slot in the door for night sales, which go to support National Public Radio. Inside, which can be too crowded at times, are surprisingly good books, only 1% are ever listed on-line. We also sell records, music cd's, comic books, mags, computer software and games. Best of all is the found art decorating every spare spot. The motto on the front door: NO SHOOTING, NO SMOKING, NO MOONING THE MANAGEMENT.
