CONDITION: Good Plus, neat owner inscription in child's hand front endpaper, with bumped and rubbed corners and edges of clean top board; however all pages have been painted in; very few paint drips; shallow chip from endpaper edge, half inch tear on two page margins; clean, no extraneous marks. Play Book Hardback, Picture. An actual book to paint into, in earlier style, which includes short Directions for Drawing and Painting. An interesting view of turn of the century life, animals, gnomes, household objects, landscapes. The skill of some of the painting is so far above the handwriting and the attempts at perspective, that we wonder if a mother and child did this together. Very carefully and thoroughly done. ABE Heritage Seller since 1996; conservative AB condition grading. We ship all our books in cardboard protection. International shipping. /anon, illustrator. N° de réf. du libraire 17525
