Containg all the original introductions and notes, and a memoir of the author. Illustrated with fifty steel engravings of portraits, landscapes, etc. No publisher date info, but there is owner name and address dated 1856. Brown leather, five raised bands on spine with gilt title. Front and back boards have cartouche and corner design embossed and stamped in black with author name in gilt. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. Good+/No Jacket. Hinges solid, but leather over spine fold is thin and front edge of outer spine has a narrow, 3-inch long separation between front board and spine.
