First edition, 1835. Beautiful little emblem book, illustrated with numerous engraved plates, woodblocks, and other decorations throughout. Small 12mo, viii + 312pp. Bound in original brown cloth with gilt title to spine. Red marbled edges. In very good condition. Binding and hinges are intact and firm; contents are crisp and clean. Small owner's name to title-page, otherwise no signs of prior ownership. Foxing to endpapers and prelims but text and illustrations are clean. Very light wear to extremities.
