Gray boards, spine heel lightly bumped. Light toning to top edge. Interior pages are bright and clean. Binding retains some crispness. A fine copy in a very good+ dust jacket. With "Doubleday Science Fiction" imprint near dj's spine heel and "Adventure Book Club" cited in blurbs on dj rear panel plus "Book Club Edition" stated at bottom of dj's front flap. Classic science fiction novel by British author John Wyndham Parkes Lucas Beynon Harris writing under the pseudonym of John Wyndham. The book was adapted into a movie released in April 1963.
