There is no printed date at all; Modern Library dating places this copy from Spring, 1947 (322 titles listed on the reverse side of jacket, these include Aristotle: Introduction, but not Lewis: Dodsworth). This Spring 1947 date also agrees with the rear panel of the jacket, which is a short lived variation of style h4. Binding style 8. Modern Library number 71. BINDING/CONDITION: reddish cloth with black and gilt; the top edge tint is an indeterminate dark shade; some play to the hinges; the cloth is faded at the spine in small spots corresponding to the jacket chips; a Good+ book, with a Fair dust jacket.
