A propos de cet article

Uncommon work by Abraham a Santa Clara, an eccentric but popular Augustinian monk. This is a limited edition reprint of the original edition (Würzburg, 1699). Full title reads: Etwas für alle, das ist: Eine kurtze Beschreibung allerley Stands- Ambts- und Gewerbs-Persohnen, mit beygeruckter sittlichen Lehre und Biblischen Concepten. Beautifully designed and printed on good quality paper. Title-pages printed in red & black. Large 8vo, xxxvi + 486pp. + publisher's catagloue. Includes facsimiles of the original engravings and decorations, as well as a lovely Art Nouveau style series title. Bound in original dark brown buckram with decorative blind tooled boards, red and green title-labels lettered in gilt to spine. Marbled endpapers. Mauve topstain, other edges untrimmed. In excellent condition. Firm binding and clean, bright, interior. No signs of prior ownership. Spine ends lightly bumped, otherwise a fine copy. N° de réf. du libraire 20110521251969
