green, blind-stamped cloth, gilt spine letters, pp., [iii]-viii [1] 371, illustrated, colored lithograph frontis. 10 wood engraved plates, wood engraved title vignette,front inner hinge cracked,wear at spine ends,and corners, frontis, title page and first page of contents disbound, a bright, clean copy. Hardy, a British Army officer, first fished the Nepisiquit in 1852 and the next year he fished on the Restiqouche. Details of these trips are to be found in two books, this book, and SPORTING ADVENTURES IN THE NEW WORLD.
