Royce, "The Mountain Chant: A Navajo Ceremony" by Dr. Washington Matthews, "The Seminole Indians of Florida" by Clay MacCauley and "The Religious Life of the Zuni Child" by Mrs. Tilly E. Stevenson. Includes 21 plate illustrations (4 in color), 77 figure drawings and two maps in a pouch at the back of the book. Maps include a detailed layout of the territories of the Cherokee nation west of the Mississippi, both as they were originally assigned as well as lands they held at the time; the other is a map of the various cessions made by the Cherokee to the U.S. Government. Binding is green board with gilt Indian head on cover, gilt writing on the spine. Spine frayed, with front inner hinge cracked. Peck Library book plate inside front cover.
