Synopsis : With attacks by Muslims against Jews in Western Europe reaching all-time highs, Jews are now facing levels of genocidal anti-Semitism not seen since WWII. Muslims committing attacks on Jews seek to substitute their own claims of victimhood for the Jews' plight, defining themselves as the ""new Jews."" Their demands for recognition are accompanied by acts of public disobedience, violent street protests, and petty crime. The Arab-Israeli struggle has been brought to Europe and extended to cover a hatred of Europe's Jews as well as those resident in Israel. Gregg Rickman, the United States' first Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism, provides this first-person account and in-depth examination of the rise of anti-Semitism in the twenty-first century.

About the Author: Gregg J. Rickman (Ph.D. University of Miami) served as a senior Committee aide and Staff Director to three Foreign Affairs Committee and Subcommittee Chairs working on financial, criminal, and foreign aid investigations and terror financing issues from 2003-2006. He has directed news-making advocacy campaigns both nationally and internationally, including a three-year campaign against the Swiss Banks resulting in a $1.25 billion settlement for Holocaust survivors; a campaign to uncover Iraqi violations of the United Nations’ Oil-for-Food program and numerous others relating to criminal and policy matters. For nearly three years, he served as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice’s Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism, traveling to twenty-eight countries in defense of victims of anti-Semitism and intolerance. His diplomatic efforts and contacts in nearly fifty countries in Europe, the Middle East, the Gulf, Afghanistan, Latin America, Australia and Southeast Asia as well as dozens of Embassies in Washington during his career have resulted in the alleviation of numerous international problems. He has been widely published in the United States and abroad, including two books on Holocaust-era restitution, and has spoken and been interviewed in the United States and around the world. He is a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Religion and Public Policy in Washington, D.C., and a Visiting Fellow at The Yale Initiative for the Interdisciplinary Study of Antisemitism (YIISA) at Yale University and a Research Scholar at the Initiative on Anti-Semitism and Anti-Israelism of the Institute for Jewish & Community Research in San Francisco. He is also the Human Rights Analyst and a Contributor for The Cutting Edge News.
