19th century calf boards with gilt rulings and title within central decorative medallion. Spine skillfully rebacked in six compartments of raised bands with gilt ornamental devices and rulings. Gilt title on red calf label on 2. , The Kennemerlant was where the upper classes of Amsterdam had their summer houses and country residences. The gardens of Kennemerlant were in the Dutch Regency style, focusing more on natural elements, in contrast to French-influenced formal layouts.
