These two matching volumes were were published separately in 1888 and then in 1889. Both have brown covers with gilt lettering and decoration. 1st series volume is No. 105 of 300 limited copies and 2nd series volume is No. 208 of 300 limited copies. Clean firm covers with lightly rubbed corners and bumped spine-ends, sound binding except frontis is detached and paper covering front hinge is split in first series and some slight separation of some gatherings, previous owner's bookplate on inside of front covers, end-papers (and prelims in second series) are foxed but pages and tissue protected plates are clean except for a penciled correction in the margin of page 17 and although slightly darkened are free from speckled foxing.
